Has anyone booted a Mac directly to the nvme slot in the mac mini hub? Are there any issues/limitations?

Just to add: I tried this with Samsung 980 Pro 2TB (which otherwise had been very fast) to run from the dock's SSD, but: The boot of a Mac Mini from TB3 MiniDock with Samsung 980Pro nvme was terribly slow. Eventually, after some 7 minutes or so the Mac would be up and running and from that moment in time everything was as it should be. The issue is the incompatibility of Apple "trim" command with Samsung SSD firmware. I couldn't fix it (and din't want to spend the efforts with hackintosh) and eventuelly only exchange to Western Digital SN850X could fix it, which however during normal operation is similarly fast.
My fault anyway, should have checked this in advance. But evetually all is well and now I am running a clean install from the docks nvme SSD. All well!
