Hey guys,

Just sharing if anyone interested, I tried the mc1 pro cooler in the TB3 dock and this heatsink is too 'tall'. Revert back to the mc 1 version. Regards!

If you use heatsink, is it recommended to leave bottom case open or closed?

is the silica thermal pad required? When using a WD 770 nvme drive the pad squishes a tiny bit with the lid closed - I'm concerned about the pressure on the nvme drive. Is this ok?

I only use heatsink and temperature is around 40-55 celsius. Bottom case is closed. Maybe I try add thermal paste/pad and check temperatures again.

It should be fine, Praveen. And the close contact of the thermal pad with the top of the SSD and the inner side of the cover to ensure good heat transfer / dissipation.
