There has been many frequently ejecting and freezing issues reported by our MacOS customers. Reason to the frequently ejecting /freezing is that Sabrent SSDs has been having some compatibility issues with Mac OS. We've stated in the SSD compatible list as Not Compatible for quite some time now. Even Sabrent's end was not able to provide us with any assistance but pushing the ball to Mac OS's issue. Here's a reply we've gotten from them, the issue started since Big Sur's 11.02 update. Sabrent's SSD is working fine in Windows environment, from what we know. We used to test our SSD enclosures with Sabrent SSDs, no issues, worked well in MacOS environment. But soon after, we starting to get reports from customers telling us that they're having issues with Sabrent SSDs. We then realized that for Sabrent, even with the same model of SSDs, different batches may be different from one another, slightly. Mainly on the controller itself. And that's mainly the reason why and we've got no control over that. So, we had no choice but to list them as incompatible ones, at least for now. It could be very frustrating for someone to pay a big amount for one and yet it's not compatible.
Just for your information, some SSD manufacturer even swap out NAND controller and being caught before.... Link: https://www.lowyat.net/2021/250975/samsung-caught-red-handed-swapping-out-nand-controller-on-970-evo-ssd/
