I'm interested in the Thunderbolt 3 dual NVMe enclosure for my M1 Mac Minit and I'm wondering if the Thunderbolt port on the enclosure, designed for adding additional devices supports connecting a display?
I currently use the HDMI out on the Mac Mini plus a a USB-C to HDMI cable for two monitors, but wondering if I can use the daisychain port to connect a display so I can free up a port for something else.
Thanks
Hello Phil, thank you for the message. Yes, the Thunderbolt 3 port can be used as a Display Port too. Just to bring to your attention that the Dual Slot SSD Enclosure, is with X2 speed on each of the SSD Slot, and it will reach X4 full speed (2800 MBps, approximately) with 2 SSD Drives RAID 0 Setup. Some users are getting this Dual Slot Enclosure to set it up as RAID 1, at a much lower READ / WRITE Speed (1500 MBps, approximately) for more secure data management. More information can be seen here at: https://www.trebleet.com/raid-1-vs-raid-0 If you're looking at to get an X4 speed for each SSD Slot and also able to do Daisy Chain, then perhaps you might want to have a look at our latest Thunderbolt 3 Quad Slot SSD Enclosure.
